Join us for an amazing opportunity to see Europe’s largest bird of prey up close. White Tailed Eagles are amazing birds and the memories will last a lifetime. We also usually see a wide range of gulls and other sea birds, common and grey seals, harbour porpoise and sometimes common dolphin. Sometimes even an otter.
Itinerary
leave Lochaline at 1400 from Lochaline Harbour pontoons – what3words: president.callers.skip
We then visit 3 White Tailed Eagle home ranges on the Sound of Mull before returning to Lochaline. There is usually an opportunity to do a spot of fishing while we are out.
The boat
MV Wild Morvern is a 12.5m wooden fishing boat. We love it because of the huge rear deck that means that there is always lots of room for our passengers. We have a maximum of 10 on the trip, so it’s never a challenge to get the photo or angle you are looking for.
Equipment required
Camera! Ideal focal length is 3-400mm on a full frame camera, but your phone will do.
