Our snorkelling trips are some of the best ways to experience the best of the West coast. We regularly visit the Cairns of Coll for experienced snorkellers or a few spots on Loch Sunart and the Sound of Mull for beginners. All of our spots are beautiful and offer an amazing experience of the flora and fauna of the area. The Sound of Mull gives you great changes of White Tailed Eagles, Common and Grey Seals and a multitude of sea birds. Loch Sunart is super sheltered with a great underwater landscape as well as potentially otters around and Golden Eagles above. The Cairns of Coll is a stunning location on the end of Coll and we regularly see seals around the archipelago and Minke Whales and Common Dolphin on the way as well as Puffins in season.

Fraser and Peter have a unique set of backgrounds to help you get the best of these experiences. Whether it is Fraser’s time as a divemaster in Scotland and Iceland or pursuing his doctorate in Marine Biology, he is the perfect person to oversee time in the Water. Peter has coached open water swimming for around 15 years including international athletes and Olympians (as well as beginners), so we can always get you used to the water and prepared to make the most of your time in it.

Who is it for?

Over 8 years old, in good physical condition. Most introductory snorkelling experiences do not require a high level of experience, but it is advisable that you can already swim over 100m unaided.

You don’t need any specific qualifications or experience, but you are likely to have a more fulfilling experience if you have been swimming or snorkellling in open water before and are relatively used to colder water.
